Yoshihiro Suda | Exhibition Title
November 18, 2025 - February 3, 2026

Mignoni is pleased to present its first exhibition with Japanese contemporary artist Yoshihiro Suda. He is celebrated for his realistic sculptures of plants and flowers carved in the tradition of Japanese woodcarving. Born in 1969 in Yamanashi, near Mt. Fuji, Suda grew up surrounded by natural beauty, which inspired his enduring interest in the details of nature and materials.

His intricately crafted works recall the art of netsuke and are thoughtfully placed in architectural spaces, transforming the way viewers experience both the artwork and its environment. Suda’s installations invite close observation, revealing beauty in unexpected places and creating a subtle dialogue between nature and the spaces we inhabit.

“My usual approach to displaying my works can make things difficult to see, and to me, things being overlooked or hard to spot is part of the viewing experience.  Doing something that doesn’t seem possible is really the same as not doing what does seem possible.” -Yoshihiro Suda
